This product solved a specific problem for a particular user group. Stephens Wilmot Solicitors specialise in the conveyancing process, and more and more frequently they were receiving requests from customers that they would like quicker, more frequent updates about their conveyancing process.
The user problem
Customers are waiting many months to complete the conveyancing process with very little information and very few updates.
The Solution
Sirch Solutions proposed a desktop and mobile app that would provide real-time updates on the conveyancing progress at the earliest stages of the home buying experience without the need to 'chase up' solicitors and estate agents. This functionality would also ensure that the estate agent and solicitor does not need to manually inform the home buyer of the progress as the system does it automatically when an action is performed in the system's back end CRM (which we also developed). Once the conveyancing process is complete, the customer may, if they choose, use the platform as a utility switching service and receive competitive household and motoring insurance packages. The platform ultimately functions as a one-stop-shop for new homeowners to manage their financial outgoings and household bills. The unique selling point is that the app is a free-to-use communication tool to ease the conveyancing process, capturing the customer at the earliest point in the home buying process, and that the customer may remain, hassle-free, within the system for years to come, generating value for the user and revenue for the business via financial products and future legal needs.

Thorough Qualitative & Quantitative testing was performed. The product concept was extensively user researched among first-time buyers via UX labs, on the street market research and within Estate Agencies in the North of England. We tested and adjusted through the entire process, using focus groups, component testing and split testing to settle on the visuals, brand, tone of voice and overall focus within the financial provider market. The shift within the fintech sector away from austerity and toward emotional resonance, family appeal and slightly offbeat quirkiness (Moneysupermarket, Compare The Market, Go Compare) led users to overwhelmingly opt for 'Keith.com'.
